The Houston Launch Pad (THLP) was founded in 1998 to address the needs of veterans returning from Vietnam. We provided employment and supportive services to veterans experiencing homelessness. The Houston Launch Pad has successfully performed on 9 HVRP national, state and local contracts serving over 1,631 participants. Renowned as one of the premiere veteran employment and training programs in the country, The Houston Launch Pad (HVRP) has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) as a National Exemplary Program for cost effectiveness and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a National Model for Economic Development in an Enterprise Community.

 

I have enjoyed being a part of the veteran community and being able to serve those who have saved and protected this country. We are excited that we have the opportunity to serve, to assist in removing barriers and being able to provide quick turnaround services.
