HVRP & VSTAGP Program

The Houston Launch Pad assists homeless veterans and veteran families through two key programs: Homeless Veterans Reintegration Grant: Provides services to help homeless veterans reintegrate into society and secure stable housing and employment. Veterans and Spouse Transition Assistance Grant Program: Offers support to veterans and their spouses as they transition to civilian life, focusing on career development and job placement.

 

These programs aim to address the unique challenges faced by veterans and their families, promoting self-sufficiency and successful reintegration into civilian communities.

HVRP Program

The Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP) is an employment focused competitive grant program of the Department of Labor, Veterans' Employment and Training Service (DOL-VETS). The Houston Launch Pad provides career exploration, training, placement, and supportive services to veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness, empowering them to secure good jobs in stable, high-demand occupations paying livable wages. Establishes strong partnerships between public, private, and nonprofit organizations, especially those that employ and partner with veterans who have experienced homelessness, to deliver equitable services to marginalized veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness to assist in overcoming barriers to employment.

VSTAGP Program

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) established a grants program to provide transition assistance to former members of the Armed Forces who are separated, retired, or discharged from the Armed Forces and to their spouses. The Houston Launch Pad shall provide services such as resumé assistance, interview training, job recruitment training, and other related services that lead to successful transition.
